Easy Paper Plate Mayflower Craft for Kids

Who knew a paper boat could exist so beautiful? This makes a cracking Thanksgiving craft while teaching our children near the Pilgrims and the first Thanksgiving.

This is an easy and fun Thanksgiving craft to make with the kids. They will love painting with paper towels and cotton balls instead of paintbrushes.

  • Paper plates x2
  • Bluish paint
  • Brown paint
  • Straws x2
  • Paper towel
  • Cotton wool balls
  • Blue construction newspaper
  • Glue
  • Scissors or preschool training scissors

We started past cut the bottom portion of a paper plate to look like a boat. Really we really but trimmed each side of the plate a little to give it a ship-like expect.
